BUST Fee Policy

In order to reduce speculations and confusion, this document clarifies the fee Policy to be implemented at BUST from the 2026/2027 academic Year.

Fee structure

The fee structure for Graduate and Postgraduate Studies are fixed as seen in Tables 1 and 2.

Up to 30% as scholarship to students registering in BUST for the first time, across ALL Higher Institutes as from the 2026/2027 academic year.

Additional information for aspiring/current students

BUST accepts installment payments of tuition fees upon registration. There are no hidden additional fees. Fees are only paid into stipulated Bank accounts or at the Tellers in BUST. Beware of frauds. BUST does not take responsibility for any fees paid through other channels (please contact the Finance department for detailed information).
Qualified students can apply for a lap top scholarship as from their second year of study with BUST
Additional performance based scholarships from year two onwards (VC’s scholarship, Deans’ scholarship, Shine with companion scholarships) are available for hard working students (details will be provided in the students’ orientation meeting in November)
Technical and Financial Support for Business Start-ups for Final Year Bachelor Degree Students
Examination Fees for the HND are determined by the Ministry of Higher Education that conducts the examination each year.
Transferred students are also eligible for all the above mentioned benefits.
No extra payments/fees except for:
FCFA 20,500 transaction cost for processing certificates and transcripts, and
Student Union Dues as agreed by the BUST Student Union
